what's up, dudes, welcome to onemore video from the core x channel. my old channel was unhapilly deleted due to copyright and property business. yeah, but now i'm back to the game. me and my production assistant, right there. we're starting this new channel, making everything from the start. sometimes we get really lazy, but what can i can do? i like it. in this video i'm gonna teach how to make your own boot animation. what is a boot animation? that tiny animation wich appearswhen you turn your cellphone on.

just in case you don't know, thecellphone must be rooted. if yours isn't don't worry. search for a tutorial here on you tube. you'll need 3 softwares: sony vegas, samsung theme designer and es explorer, for android. well, the first thing you have to know is the resolution of your cellphone. mine for example, galaxy ace, has a 320 x 480 resolution. now it's the practical part, no more avoiding it. what's up dudes? now we're in the pc, where the magic really happens. and now that we know our cellphone screen resolution, forexample, galaxy ace is 320x480, we have to choose our animation.

there are a lot of boot animations in the internet, i'veshown some of them in the begining of this video. but as the title says "make your own boot animation" we're gonna start from scratch. i wanted to make it the simplestas possible. for example, i wanted to use movie maker, wich is a software present in many computers. but unhapilly movie maker doesn't have the means to do it. so i've chosen the software sonyvegas, wich is the most easy to work with, and has the necessary tools. so let's go. let's run sony vegas.

if there is some opened project, close it. now we go to file > properties. we have to make the project the same size as the cellphone screen. in the width we put 320 and in the height we put 480. in "pixel aspect ratio" we select 1.000 (square). in the framerate we put 16. if we put a high framerate we experience some problems, i've tried it sometimes. apply > ok. now we have our cellphone screen.

i wanna make some pirate stuff. i've found this picture in the internet. it is in .png format, what is, it has a transparent background already. we're gonna drag it to the timeline. of course nothing is showing, because both background and picture are black. now we go to media generators... solid color... and we drag a black bg to the animation. let's make it more or less 8 seconds. so the black background be more or less until this point.

i'm gonna reduce the "skull picture time" a little. from there to here. now i have to make the skull appear over the background. what can we do? go to video fx and search for an effect called invert. increase blend amount. but the skull is very large. so we go to the track of the skull and left click on track motion hold the edge with left mouse button and drag to make it smaller. this way is good.

i want the skull to increase itssize, and get get smaller again, disappearing that way. i can increase its size a littlebit. now we have to animate our skull? how do we do that? we go to track motion. you can see when i move the cursor here it moves there too. so, in the beginning, more or less until here, the skull is already that size. in the very beginning, the skull is prety small. we left click and drag and it will become very small. c

let's run a preview. there is something wrong. it's turning upside down. we can solve it with a fade in. now it's ok. ok, our skull ispartially animated. let's make it disappear now. let's make it shrink again. so we go to track motion....

let's copy this keyframe. let's put it here. paste. to make the skull shrink we copythis keyframe from the beginning. that's ok. now i want to put my name below the skull. so right click > insert > video track. it doesn't matter if the name track is above or below the skull track, because they don't invade each other's space. here you can rename the tracks, if you want things to be more organized.

i'm very disorganized and usually don't do this. now right click on the name track and click "insert text media". i'm gonna type my name. let's check the layout. as my name is over the skull, i go to track motion... click the square and press the down arrow on the keyboard. but it still doesn't look good. let's make the font smaller. now let's change the font type.

as i don't like this one. let's choose a better one. this one! this one looks nice. let's make it a bit larger. 60? 55? 55 is ok. 55, but now the skull is down. and if i change the keyframes, imay screw with it. so i add another video track.

this is gonna be a track only tocontrol the movements o the skull track. so i make it parent of the skulltrack. now every move this track does, the skull track does too. now we go to "parent motion". left click on the square and presse up arrow on the keyboard until the skull gets to the right place. i want the name to vanish along with the skull. i'm gonna short the name and increase the fade. actually the name must vanish first. drag a litlle.

ok. here, the name must appear after the skull. a little slower. let's check it. a little later. that's nice. now i wanna add one more thing. i'm gonna put some fire. to make the fire i'm gonna use a video file.

i can let a download link, i'm gonna use this fire. so i drag, choose a place. right click > insert video track. but this video track must be between the skull and the background track. it's not well aligned. we must go to track motion... and increase fire's size until it gets good. let's run a preview... i'm gonna make the fire disappear before the background.

press s to split the video, click here, delete. make the background a little longer. i'm gonna put a little bigger for you to see.
