whatoplay presents the top 10 ios games of2015 so far. our ranking is not a personal opinion. it'sbased on a 1 to 10 score that aggregates gamers and critics, reviews into a unique score calledplayscore. 10th in the ranking is flop rocket. it's a game that's just fun to play. yourgoal is to fly your spaceship across a 5 kilometer stretch filled with monsters, obstacles, coinsand more! it doesn't reinvent the wheel.. rather, itpolishes established conventions. fast-paced for quick re-plays.there are tons of upgrades. and just enough difficulty to keep you playing.
a playscore of 8.6. number 9 is garou: mark of the wolves. remember those neo-geo arcade games? thisis one of them! a 2d fighting game that has stood the test of time. it looks and play like the original. - fastattacks and combos. the touch control felt weird, at first, butyou'll get used to it after a few rounds. and they added online multiplayer! in 8 is magic touch: wizard for hire. i've followed developer nitrome when flashgames were all the rage, even more so now
on mobile!magic touch is arguably one of their finest works! you play as a wizard defending a toweragainst endless waves of enemies! the pixelart looks wonderful.it's simple and quite addictive. and it's free on itunes! a playscore of 8.7. ranked number 7 is radiation island. this is a survival game set in a mysteriousisland and is one of the prettiest 3d games on ios today. it looks great! just be warned. its gorgeousvisuals drains battery fast!
there are a lot of things to do: explore, scavenge for food, craft weapons and solve puzzles.and you get to shoot zombies! it receives a playscore of 8.7. 6th in the ranking is shadowmatic. it's a clever puzzle game, one that's clearlydesigned with touch controls in mind. your goal is to cast a recognizable shadow outof seemingly-random shapes. it's a beautiful piece of a game. the lightingand interaction looks realistic. i did not encounter frustrating difficultyspikes. and, again, the controls feel natural.
shadowmatic holds a playscore of 8.7. ranked 5 is card crawl. imagine dungeon crawlers with a deck of cardsand plays like solitaire. that's exactly what card crawl is - an intriguing mix of adventureand card games. your goal in each game is to clear all 54cards without dying. it's a classic time-waster, perfect for quickmobile gaming; and the game's neat presentation makes everyplaythrough relaxing. a playscore of 8.8. fourth is dark echo.
it may not look like it but this a horrorgame. you're trapped in a dark room and must find your way out before ''they'' come. dark echo is a smart, well-designed horrorgame. it doesn't rely on jump-scares, instead it delivers the creep-factor through anticipationof the unknown. and there are 80 levels to clear! it holds a playscore of 8.8. ranked number 3 is alto's adventure. it's an endless runner...the most beautifulendless runner i've played so far. you control a snowboarder on one hell of a ski ride tocapture all escaped llamas.
the gameplay is exactly the same as otherrunner games. what makes alto's adventure unique is aesthetics. it's one pretty gamecoupled with fitting music. it receives a playscore of 8.9. second is one piece treasure cruise. this action rpg is definitely made for fansof the anime & manga series. it doesn't introduce new mechanics in combatand role-playing. instead it focuses on immersing you into the crazy world of one piece. youmeet, interact, control and fight characters from the series. even the settings and eventsare similar treasure cruise is the ultimate fan-servicegame!
a playscore of 9.2. and the number one so far is space marshals. fight smart or die. this is a tactical shooterwith space-faring cowboys. and it looks and plays amazing! its graphics is smooth and crisp.battles are exciting. and i enjoy the stealth sections as much as the direct encounters.and it tells a wonderful story complete with interesting characters. oh god. i can't wait for part 2! space marshals holds a playscore of 9.5.
